reward, train, and retain excellent teachers for every classroom of East Mecklenburg High School.” ASTI activities have
included staff retreats, money for additional classroom supplies, grants for innovative teaching ideas, and funding for special workshops.
Established in 1950, Charlotte Christian School is a Christ-centered, college preparatory, independent, non-denominational
school serving students in grades JK-12.
Charlotte Christian's vision for students includes the integration of a Biblical worldview into our
curriculum where character, values and essential life skills are emphasized and modeled by a professional and dedicated faculty.
A rigorous academic program is offered including strong co-curricular offerings with successful athletic and fine arts programs.
As a Christ-centered school, students are taught how to integrate Biblical truth and learning into their daily lives to impact
the culture for Christ.
Charlotte Prep (Pre-K - 8) is a community of learners, where students, teachers, and leadership are committed to both
their own growth and that of others.
Charlotte Prep is student-centered; every program, policy, and its Pre-K - 8th Grade model are designed and
tested to achieve the ultimate goal of providing an excellent, comprehensive education for the students entrusted to the school.
Charlotte Prep is balanced in its approach, seeking the classic ideal of “a sound mind and a sound spirit in a sound body.”
Of course quality academics are the first priority, but excellence is also developed through the arts and physical education.
Charlotte Prep's program is carefully designed to stretch its students, but not overwhelm them. The Charlotte Prep curriculum
is accelerated at all grades and in all areas, but its students are well prepared and well supported in their work; they thrive
because of this combination.
Providence Day School (Pre-K - 12) has assembled one of the nation’s finest pre-collegiate faculties, with over 60% holding
advanced degrees in their field.
A campus-wide digital citizenship initiative builds in students an understanding of how they
can successfully navigate and operate within an ever-connected world. Providence Day School is a global school, focused on developing
successful and responsible global citizens. Lower School students are introduced to Chinese, Spanish, and French. The Global Studies
Diploma Program, the first of its kind in the country, allows students in grades 9-12 to choose a curriculum and set of experiences
that lead to a second Global Studies diploma. Within its rigorous curriculum, Providence Day also understand the need for play,
socialization, rest, creativity, and experiential learning. Family is truly valued and the school works ceaselessly to build
meaningful, life-long connections with our parents, alumni, grandparents, alumni parents, and other supporters. The school enjoys
a strong culture of philanthropy and vibrant partnerships within the larger Charlotte region.
The preschool years are such important ones - the years when behaviors, value systems and attitudes develop and emerge.
Each individual child deserves a loving, safe environment that promotes a sense of wonder and discovery in learning.
The school's approach offers a stimulating environment where each child will be encouraged to develop intellectually,
emotionally and physically. The school values an inclusive environment that respects the uniqueness of each child, thus, they are
given the respect and attention that they need to develop and grow. Their low student-teacher ratio ensures that each child
receives this needed attention. At the heart of the program, it is the school's desire to nurture within the children, a
concern and kindness for themselves and those around them.
The goal of Sardis Weekday School is to encourage fullness in the growth of each child.
This goal is individualized for each child in order to meet his unique needs at his own level and at his own pace.
It is the school's hope to supplement family life and extend the spiritual growth of each child through the loving guidance of its
Christian staff. Its curriculum identifies goals in all areas of development: spiritual,
cognitive and physical. A ministry of Sardis Presbyterian Church since 1954, the heart of the preschool's program is a staff
that strives each day to introduce its children to the joy of learning, the warmth of sharing and the thrill of accomplishment.
The most important goal of the preschool's early childhood curriculum is to help children become enthusiastic learners.
The curriculum is based on the philosophy that young children learn best by doing. Learning requires active experimenting and
thinking to find out how things work and is not just repeating what someone else says. Play is the "doing" that provides
the foundation for academic or "school" learning. The preschool's curriculum identifies goals in all areas of development: spiritual,
social, emotional, cognitive and physical. St. Stephen United Methodist Preschool is self-administered by the Weekday Preschool
Committee with St. Stephen United Methodist Church supplying (without financial obligation) space and utilities and the
preschool being offered as an outreach ministry to the community.
The Charlotte Catholic High School (grades 9-12) is one of 9 schools in the Mecklenburg Area. As a school in the Diocese of

Charlotte Catholic strives to maintain an environment in which the teachings of Jesus are promoted as the basis of the
values taught and upheld, recognizing this mission is a shared responsibility with the parishes and parents.
